Job Description
- Assist with interviewing, hiring and training new employees
- Assist with employee management, i.e. schedules, performance evaluations, mtgs., protocols, etc.
- Review patient charts 48 hrs prior to appt to assure all records required by provider are in electronic record
- Obtain vitals, review medication list and enter all appropriate information in EMR
- Proof RX refills, E-scribe medications, call pharmacy and patient with any issues or concerns
- Perform EKG as directly by physician
- Call patients with test results per request from provider
- Assign CMA for Nuclear coverage when needed
- Assist physician with patients in satellite offices
- Sort echocardiograms and holters for MDs to interpret
- Maintain and track RHCI EKG log
- Promote a positive atmosphere
- Delegate duties as needed to ensure CMA operates in a friendly atmosphere
- Performs other work-related duties and activities as assigned or requested
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Medical Assistant - Certification
- Completion of a post-secondary medical assisting program
- Basic Life Support Certification for Health Care Providers
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, time management skills
- Experience with current office technology, proficient with computer office applications (Electronic Medical/Health Records, MS Office, etc.)
- A Minimum of 5 year’s experience supervising staff in a medical office setting, prefer cardiology
