Detroit delivers an affordable, culturally rich lifestyle that's hard to match in any major metro — with a cost of living well below the national average and a city that punches well above its weight. The culinary scene is nationally recognized, the arts and music heritage runs deep (the Motown Museum alone is worth the move), and a growing community of entrepreneurs and creatives is driving genuine urban renewal. Outdoor recreation is plentiful, from the Detroit Riverwalk and Belle Isle Park to the broader Great Lakes region, and the city is home to all four major professional sports franchises. Detroit Metro Airport connects you quickly to destinations coast to coast and internationally, making it as easy to get away as it is to settle in.
