Job Description
Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to support glue stations and VK MOP Operators, so equipment has minimal downtime and to help maximize throughput.
Responsibilities
- Meets regular and reliable work-site attendance requirements in order to perform the job and meet productivity standards.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and travelers for production orders.
- Order raw material needed for shop orders.
- Make the kits needed for shop orders and deliver to the appropriate area.
- Packing out product from the mop stations according to the drawings for each shop order.
- Scrapping product in the computer system when needed on shop orders.
- Issuing and closing work orders and placing product in the correct area.
- Enter fault reports in computer system as needed.
- Understanding and following proper safety procedures when using the lasers and hoist equipment.
- Ability to know and understand how to operate and troubleshoot glue station equipment.
- Perform quality inspection/measurements for each shop order.
- Gathering and loading of the necessary raw materials needed to complete the shop order.
- Participates in periodic training programs regarding safety, product specifications; quality; and operation.
- Participates and works within ISO 9001 quality standards guidelines in accordance with Contec’s quality goals.
Others may be assigned.

Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); At least 1yr machine and manufacturing experience required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to move around the VK Mop cells, as well as remain stationary for short periods of time. The employee must regularly transport and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds. Employee will use a lift assist to load/unload fabric onto the laser. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.
Employees will be cross trained in other areas and will also need to meet the following requirements: Constantly required to operate equipment, and to constantly prepare, inspect, and position the finished product. Employee must constantly be able to use hands, fingers, wrist, and arms in repetitive motions. Must be constantly able to squeeze with hands. Employee must frequently be able to remain in a stationary position. Employee must be able to move, traverse. Employees will move around the room to different workstations. The Employee must be able to position self (to), move. The employee must constantly transport and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds and push/pull/lift up to forty (40) pounds. Employees must be able to constantly bend at the waist in a repetitive motion.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Worked performed by the VK MOP Waterspider is done in an air-conditioned environment. All individuals must wear safety glasses, steel toed shoes, hairnets, beard nets, and nitrile gloves which are all provided by Contec. Personal body products that must not be worn in this cell is jewelry of any kind.
