Job Description

This role will involve working with underwriters, information technology development teams, and senior actuarial team members

The main areas of involvement will be in pricing for the Political Risk, Credit and Bond underwriting teams but work for other global specialty products may be required

What you’ll be doing What will your essential responsibilities include

Be the main point of contact for one region for PRC, and keep up to speed with new product developments, and assist in developing new pricing models as required and as is commensurate to the premium

Be the main point of contact for Commercial Bond

Take the lead on global case pricing, with support from the Head of PRCB Pricing

Interface with information technology development and support teams to scope and implement changes to existing pricing tools

Consolidate, develop and maintain Pricing dashboards

Develop Pricing Dashboards to include segmentation analysis

Perform adhoc data updates in Pricing models

Perform adhoc data reporting requests, including Development Triangles for Reinsurance submissions

Perform pricing audits

You will report to Head of Pricing

What you’ll bring An innovative thinker who can provide solutions from both an actuarial and business perspective with: A focus on quality and integrity

A keen interest in global geopolitics and how it could affect pricing

Some experience in commercial lines pricing

Coding skills in VBA, SQL, R and/or Python

Progress toward actuarial accreditation from the Institute of Actuaries

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field

Analytical skills to evaluate business segment profitability

Mental agility and adaptability to changing circumstances

Experience of Specialty product lines preferred

Ability to work self-supported with minimal supervision and part of a team

Robust verbal communication skills

Excellent written communication skills

The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD 73,900-122,700

Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location
