Fraud Analyst – Allianz Partners

Location: Brisbane 
Function: Operations | Fraud Management COE
Reporting to: Regional Head of Fraud Management


About the Role

This role sits at the intersection of operations, analytics, and risk management, supporting a forward-thinking fraud capability that leverages data, insights, and evolving technologies to stay ahead of emerging threats.


What You’ll Do

Fraud Detection and Investigation

  • Assess and investigate suspected fraud cases across multiple channels (claims referrals, system alerts, external sources)
  • Apply structured, evidence-based approaches to determine case outcomes
  • Partner with Claims teams to ensure timely and accurate resolution of investigations

Data-Driven Fraud Prevention

  • Leverage fraud detection tools and analytics to identify patterns, anomalies, and emerging risks
  • Translate insights into actionable prevention strategies
  • Continuously improve fraud detection approaches through data-led thinking

Process Excellence

  • Support the implementation and optimisation of fraud management processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure consistent application of fraud policies and frameworks
  • Contribute to improving turnaround times, referral quality, and investigation outcomes

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Claims, Operations, and regional Fraud teams
  • Support alignment between local and global fraud strategies
  • Build strong relationships to embed a zero-tolerance approach to fraud

Capability Building and Awareness

  • Deliver training and guidance to Claims teams on fraud indicators and best practice
  • Support onboarding and upskilling initiatives across the business
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and fraud awareness

Reporting and Insights

  • Track and report key fraud metrics such as detection rates, turnaround times, and outcomes
  • Contribute to dashboards and performance insights
  • Use data to support decision-making and continuous improvement

What You Bring

  • Experience in fraud investigation, claims, or risk management (insurance preferred)
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • High attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach
  • Confidence working with systems, tools, and evolving technologies
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • A proactive, curious mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
