Floating Service Technician

Our Rochester, NY portfolio is seeking a Floating Service Technician with strong HVAC and plumbing experience who enjoys troubleshooting, staying busy, and adapting to different maintenance needs throughout the region. This role primarily supports a 184-unit community while also assisting surrounding properties as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while partnering closely with site teams and Service Managers. As the Floating Service Technician, you will help to: Be responsible for troubleshooting service issues including, but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, general appliance repair, carpentry, electrical, and preventative maintenance. Travel between assigned communities to provide maintenance support where needed. Maintain interior and exterior areas in accordance with company standards, compliance requirements, and applicable laws. Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance service requests and work orders. Communicate clearly and professionally with residents and office staff regarding repairs, updates, and follow-up needs. Assist with preventative maintenance and help maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the communities. Compensation & Incentives: Base Pay: $25.00 – $30.00/ hr Up to 50% Rent Discount Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions Morgan Essentials: $300 quarterly On-Call Appreciation: $15/day for holding the on-call phone Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match Generous Paid Time Off, including 10 holidays per year and sick leave Hours & Schedule: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Paid rotating on-call participation required Must be available and prepared for emergency events Schedule subject to change based on business needs What We’ll Expect From You: Active, valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required HVAC / EPA / CFC certification preferred One year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience #AC6222
