About this opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Charging Integration Engineer to develop, implement, and integrate end-to-end Ericsson Charging and Monetization solutions across native and cloud-native environments. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality charging solutions, ensuring successful integration with telecom and IT ecosystems, and supporting customers throughout the solution lifecycle.
You will be part of Solution Area Business and Operational Support Systems within Market Area Europe, Middle East & Africa, supporting Charging and Monetization solutions for telecom operators across the region.
What you will do
- Deploy, configure, integrate, and test Ericsson Charging solutions in native and cloud-native environments.
- Perform end-to-end integration with Core Network, 5G Core, CRM, Billing, Mediation, Policy Control, Self-Care, and partner systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot telecom protocols and interfaces including SS7, CAMEL, Diameter, HTTP/2, REST, and SOAP APIs.
- Participate in solution design activities, including low-level design, configuration planning, and interface specifications.
- Define and document integration use cases, call flows, and technical documentation.
- Plan and execute integration, functional, regression, and non-functional testing activities.
- Work with cloud and virtualization platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, VMware, and OpenStack.
- Utilize CI/CD tools and practices including Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and Helm.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis across application, integration, and infrastructure layers.
- Support Solution Architects and Project Managers throughout project delivery.
- Participate in customer workshops, technical discussions, and acceptance activities.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will bring
- B.Sc. degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Telecom Charging Solutions.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Experience with Ericsson Charging solutions, including installation, configuration, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with SS7 and CAMEL for Intelligent Network charging environments.
- Experience with Diameter and HTTP/2 protocols for LTE and 5G charging ecosystems.
- Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs for OSS/BSS integrations.
- Proven experience integrating charging solutions with telecom and IT systems.
- Understanding of cloud and virtualization technologies including VMware, KVM, OpenStack, Kubernetes, containers, microservices, and Helm.
- Familiarity with Linux environments, Bash or Python scripting, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural and geographically distributed teams.
