JOB DESCRIPTION

• Execute standard work and implement templates for common issues encountered for specific components/assemblies. Identify creative ways to improve and create our processes, design methods, and manufacturing methods.

• Leverage design documentation to support dispositions of hardware deviations, material substitutions and drawing revisions to support improved manufacturability.

• Evaluate and mitigate component, assembly, and/or system level manufacturing risks.

• Provide input to design practice owners on manufacturing topics relating to their document.

• Maintain strong relationships with supply chain teams. Keep abreast of new technologies, products, and emerging fleet services issues.

• Implement drawing modifications/update to address nonconformances.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams including Global Supply Chain, Quality, Steam Turbine Engineering, Material, Product Definition etc.

• Relevant experience designing steam turbine hardware or similar forging/ machining experience.

• Experienced in manufacturing steam turbine hardware or similar manufacturing experience for heavy duty industry

• Demonstrated capability in collaborating in a cross functional global organization.

• Understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings & BoMs.

• Strong organizational & communication skills.

• Humble, open-minded, self motivated, and a continuous learner.

• Ability to rapidly shift day to day priorities

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college; or relevant experience that would be equal to a bachelor’s degree.

• Proficiency in English
