Position Overview
West Coast Dental is seeking compassionate and energetic Pediatric Dental Assistants to support dentists in delivering high-quality care to children in a friendly, fast-paced environment. The role focuses on both clinical support and patient interaction, especially with children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures (4-handed dentistry)
- Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Ensure treatment rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patients
- Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety protocols
- Help manage patient flow and create a positive, child-friendly environment
Qualifications
- Dental Assistant certification
- Experience in a pediatric dental setting (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with children and families
- Team-oriented with good organizational and multitasking skills
