Your Role in Synergy's Success

About the Position

Responsible for providing leadership for the HVP manufacturing department. This role provides floor supervision while maintaining food safety, quality, efficiency and inventory accuracy. In this role you will be responsible for meeting the daily production schedule. Must have the ability to follow company policies, follow standard operating procedures, and follow safety procedures.

How You Will Contribute

Responsibilities

  • Provides training to new associates and lead peers on a production line by communicating tasks and giving instructions to ensure maximum quality and productivity 
  • Performs scheduled process monitoring following good manufacturing practices and communicates with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials 
  • Must have attention to detail to plan and schedule the production workload, monitor labor requirements needed and keep the production area clean and audit ready
  • Ensures housekeeping activities and sanitations on production equipment is complete, accurate and properly documented 
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding production goals and potential issues. 
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, machine performance, and any maintenance performed. 
  • Report safety, quality and inventory discrepancies to Management.  
  • Observe production staff and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. 
  • Report operational and production data on specified forms. 
  • Understand the impact and importance of food safety and its role in our products. 
  • Organize the production area and take on any additional assigned projects from the Production Manager
  • Perform daily checks on pollution control equipment and record readouts on inspection forms
  • Site responsibility on off shifts to include employee safety, site security and equipment monitoring
  • Perform Daily GMP Inspections and Pre-Operations paperwork
  • Assist with SSOP and SOP creation for equipment

Skills and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • Microsoft Office familiarity
  • 3 years of experience in manufacturing, food manufacturing preferred
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Ability to read and follow instructions, work in a safe manner, troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
  • Demonstrated ability to operate machinery in a high paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solving skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of measuring units
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Based on duties, employee may be required to wear a respirator after a Doctor’s approval and successful passing of the fit and pulmonary test.

Compensation Range: $30.00 to 45.00/HR

3rd shift: Monday - Friday 10p - 6:30a

The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
