Role Overview
The Head of Strategic Solutions for Asset Owners is responsible for taking a leading role in the firm’s most important new business pursuits across the Asset Owner segment in North America. Reporting to the North American Head of Sales for Assets owners with a strong partnership to with the head of the AO segment and Head of Client Service, this role is accountable for driving new client acquisition by ensuring the firm targets the right opportunities, competes effectively, and brings differentiated, executable solutions to market.
This role operates at the center of sales, product, and client service—integrating capabilities to shape, position, and win complex mandates. The focus is squarely on improving win rates, strengthening market positioning, and accelerating high-quality client acquisition.
Strategic Mandate
• Drive disciplined opportunity selection by establishing clear qualification standards for RFP participation, prioritizing pursuits with strong strategic fit, attractive economics, and a high probability of win
• Improve win rates by shaping differentiated, scalable solutions aligned to the firm’s global delivery model
• Actively challenge and decline low-probability or sub-scale opportunities to ensure focus on the highest-value pursuits
• Elevate consistency, quality, and impact in how we position and present to the market
Core Responsibilities
• Partner with Sales to assess, qualify, and prioritize new business opportunities, including direct involvement in go/no-go decisioning
• Lead end-to-end solutioning, defining the target operating model, service construct, and supporting business case
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (Client Service, Product, Technology, Operations) to develop cohesive, competitive proposals
• Own the overall solution narrative and client positioning through the sales cycle
• Personally lead and deliver client-facing demonstrations of myStateStreet, developing deep product expertise across a wide range of functionality to effectively showcase the platform to senior prospects
• Translate complex product capabilities into clear, compelling client value through tailored demonstrations aligned to client needs
• Standardize RFP responses, presentations, and technology demonstrations to drive repeatability and quality
• Promote scalable, sustainable solutions, minimizing bespoke commitments and reinforcing the global operating model
• Build strong internal and external relationships to strengthen market presence and increase access to strategic opportunities
• Support rebid and defense strategies selectively where strategically important

Experience
• 10+ years of experience across sales, client service, operations, or strategy within financial services
• Proven track record of winning complex, large-scale mandates
Salary Range:
$170,000 - $267,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
