Responsibilities
- Identify learning and development needs of different departments, tailor-made solutions to their business needs, monitor the effectiveness of the training programmes and manage relevant actions to achieve a reasonable ROI.
- Oversee the annual L&D budget tailored to the hotel needs with sound business consideration and monthly training expenses.
- Design, develop and deliver face-to-face training programmes / activities / events effectively for all Colleagues or specific targeted participants (Department Heads, Managers, Supervisors and General Staff).
- Coach and partner with Department / Section Heads to identify, train and lead departmental trainers in both Front of House and Back of House departments to meet management’s expectations and sustain positive development culture in the hotel.
- Implement and strengthen hotel culture including core values and service standards by training campaigns when needed.
- Initiate and manage performance-based and service quality recognition programmes in line with training needs assessment and engagement with high performers.
- Sustain strong partnerships with educational institutions / community organizations in Hong Kong and overseas for branding learning opportunities in collaboration with HR recruitment team.
- Lead relevant staff engagement, communications initiatives or other enhancement projects in relation to career / personal growth directed by Director - People and Culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director - People and Culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree holder or above in Management or hospitality-related discipline; Certificated trainer of relevant qualifications or management skills are definitely a plus.
- At least 8 years of solid experience in learning and development in hospitality industry; Similar capacity in hotel is advantageous.
- Self-motivated, proactive, well-organized, detail-minded with strong leadership and decision-making skills as well as communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound track records on hands-on training design, facilitation and evaluation.
- Able to establish rapports with various stakeholders internally and externally.
- Passionate in people development and training to drive for business results.
- Excellent presentation, business coaching and strong project management skills and can work independently.
- Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint, English and Chinese word processing.
- Strong Command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin (Verbal and Written).
*Candidate with more experience will be considered as Learning & Development Manager.
