We are seeking a Responsible AI Specialist to help ensure AI technologies are developed, deployed, and managed in a fair, ethical, transparent, and accountable manner. This role is responsible for supporting the implementation of responsible AI principles, governance controls, risk assessments, and compliance activities that promote trust in AI systems.

The successful candidate will work across technical, legal, compliance, risk, and business functions to ensure AI solutions align with organizational values and regulatory expectations.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

 

Responsible AI Frameworks & Governance

  • Support the implementation of responsible AI practices across the organization.
  • Assist in developing responsible AI frameworks and standards.
  • Promote ethical AI principles and governance controls.
  • Support AI oversight and review processes.
  • Ensure responsible AI considerations are incorporated into projects.

Risk Assessment & Impact Analysis

  • Identify and manage ethical and operational risks associated with AI systems.
  • Conduct responsible AI assessments and reviews.
  • Evaluate fairness, transparency, explainability, and accountability considerations.
  • Identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support impact assessments for AI initiatives.

Compliance & Regulatory Support

  • Ensure alignment with emerging AI regulations and standards.
  • Monitor developments in AI regulation and industry guidance.
  • Support compliance assessments and governance reviews.
  • Assist with audit and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain documentation and compliance records.

Stakeholder Education & Advisory

  • Promote awareness and understanding of responsible AI practices.
  • Provide guidance to business and technical teams.
  • Support training and awareness initiatives.
  • Facilitate discussions on AI ethics and governance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on responsible AI matters.

Continuous Improvement & Research

  • Help strengthen the organization's AI maturity and governance capabilities.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices.
  • Evaluate new responsible AI methodologies and frameworks.
  • Recommend improvements to governance and oversight processes.
  • Contribute to organizational AI strategy initiatives.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Ethics, Public Policy, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in governance, compliance, ethics, risk management, AI policy, or related disciplines.
  • Understanding of AI, machine learning, and Generative AI technologies.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI principles and governance concepts.
  • Experience conducting assessments, reviews, or compliance activities.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience developing policies, standards, or governance documentation.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Strong research and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to influence and educate diverse audiences.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting responsible AI or AI governance programs.
  • Knowledge of global AI regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience within highly regulated industries.
  • Certifications in governance, risk, compliance, privacy, or ethics.
  • Familiarity with model risk management practices.
  • Experience working with AI development teams.
  • Exposure to privacy and data governance initiatives.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
