CNC Operator
REPORTS TO: CNC Supervisor or Leadperson
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Operate CNC machines in the production of custom fabrications.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned)
- Receives work orders from CNC Supervisor or lead person.
- Set parts in vice to determine that they are securely held in place.
- Run machine to determine that parts are being made to specifications.
- Produce parts maintaining specific quantity and quality levels.
- Insures quality control on parts being produced.
- Works within the guidelines of the quality program.
- Maintains and updates production and inspection records.
- Works within the guidelines of the quality program.
- Insures good housekeeping in work area.
- Reports problems or accidents to management immediately.
- Gives proper consideration to safety on each job and abides by all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Performs related work as required.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Work with drawings, specifications and formulas involving limited detail. Use and interpret adjustable measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and scales.
- Education: High School or GED
- Experience: Three months to one year.
