Operational Excellence Partner (Ocean Operations)

About the Role

We are looking for a Operational Excellence Partner to drive operational excellence across Ocean Operations. You will lead improvement initiatives and embed The Maersk Way to eliminate waste, standardize processes, and scale best practices across regions.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and deliver continuous improvement (CI) initiatives aligned with regional priorities

· Identify process inefficiencies and drive structured problem-solving across functions

· Ensure solutions are embedded into the operating system (MOS) and sustainably adopted

· Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve operational challenges

· Validate cost vs. quality trade-offs to ensure alignment with business objectives

· Drive adherence to global SOPs and MOS standards

· Partner with regional and global CI stakeholders to implement improvement initiatives

· Share best practices and ensure scaling of successful solutions across regions

· Coach & train teams on The Maersk Way tools and system

· Leverage data and insights to monitor process health and performance outcomes

Accountable for:

· Deploying The Maersk Way tools and global standards for Ocean Operations

· Building, integrating and maturing OpEx capabilities and CI culture across frontline and leadership teams

· Driving measurable improvements in key business KPIs tied to business performance, operational efficiency and customer outcomes

· Challenge, influence, and drive accountability across senior leaders and cross-functional teams

What We Are Looking For

· Proven experience in continuous improvement / operational excellence roles

· Ability to translate analysis into actionable improvements

· Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

· Data-driven mindset with the ability to derive insights from operational metrics

· High level of ownership, proactiveness, and execution focus

· Experience in logistics, supply chain, or a complex operations environment is an advantage

· Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies is a plus
