Position details

  • This role will report in to the Access Management Team Lead.
  • The Access Management, Policy & Reporting team sits within the IT Risk, Security & Control Department.
  • The Team reports directly to the Head of IT Risk, Security & Control

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for enforcing company policies and procedures related to identity and access management across MUFG’s banking arm and Securities business under a dual-hat arrangement. Under this arrangement, you will act and make decisions on behalf of both the bank and the securities business, subject to the same remit and level of authority, and irrespective of the entity which employs you.

You should have a good understanding of governance structures within the financial technology sector as well as knowledge of the key technical frameworks and audit requirements. In addition, the candidate is expected to have demonstrable communication and team-working skills.

  • Be the subject matter expert and the reference point for the Access Management team
  • Perform user access management by provisioning or de-provisioning user access.
  • Represent the team in meetings as required
  • Innovative ideas to improve processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of Access Review/Attestation Management
  • User Access Management
  • Folder access management
  • Privileged Access Management
  • Incident Management
  • Investigation and resolving user access issues
  • Monitor and report completed and pending Incidents, Tasks and Requests.
  •  Contribute to the Knowledge Management Database. Record events and problems and their resolution in knowledge base
  • Read and review the standard operating procedures and required training materials. Create additional documentation, as needed to support the process.
  • Engage in knowledge transfer session for any newly on boarded application that comes under the scope of user access management.
  • Creating, managing and reporting KPIs for BAU processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to multitask, manage large workloads and tight deadlines
  • Investigate and problem solves downtime for IAM Platform on-boarded applications
  • Supporting the team with process, run books, on-boarding documentation

Job Requirements:

Technical Capability (if applicable)

  • Experience with Active Directory group management
  • Knowledge of ‘least privilege’ methodology with access permissions
  • The ability to operate with urgency and prioritise work accordingly.
  • Knowledge of IAM and PAM tools.
  • Good understanding and awareness of management of key controls

2) People (If applicable)

·         To provide cover in Access Management Team Lead’s absence.

3) Relationship with other functions and stakeholders

  • Maintain and enhance good working relationships with stakeholders, across the region and globally to share best practices, provide support and develop effective local policies and procedures appropriate to the Company, and working in support of the One MUFG and overall Group strategy.

4) Performance and Duties

The role holder will be assessed in accordance with their employing entity’s performance framework and process with relevant input obtained from the dual hatting entity as relevant.

As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and emended in consultation with the role holder. The role holder will carry out other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the role as requested by their line manager or Department Head.

Managing conflicts of interest/dual hat status (If Applicable)

The role holder will have responsibilities for both MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc.

The role holder will be required to perform their duties and responsibilities on an entity neutral basis, without favour.

The role holder is required to follow regulatory requirements applicable to ensure each business is appropriately supported and to maintain the legal entity integrity of each of MUFG Bank and MUS.

Working terms are dictated by functional mandates, the terms of the Dual-Hat Arrangement Agreement in place between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc and any other relevant agreements entered into between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc.

The role holder will have responsibility for identifying and resolving where there may be a difference or conflict in needs between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc, escalating to their manager where required.
