Your Job:
Job Purpose: The Resource Specialist receives ships/mails, restocks, fulfills requisitions, delivers/transport materials, assists with inventory and supports materials needs of the hospital system, while maintaining a clean, safe environment. Demonstrates mastery of computerized inventory. Acts as a liaison between Corporate Materiel Management and Logistics departments, communicating problems and requirements.
• Associates degree in Business or related fields a plus
• May substitute 3 years of inventory management experience
• Valid Texas Driver's License
Your Job Responsibilities :
• Accurately enters patient charges and inventory transactions via PMM, Intellishelf and Meditech systems.

• Delivers and picks up supplies, lab specimens, equipment, mail, data reports and other items, adhering to a preplanned schedule, including STAT orders.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge and understanding of inventory principles and acts in accordance with set standards and in coordination within using units of the hospital.
• Demonstrates communication skills including follow thru that keeps all stakeholders up to date/informed and promotes teamwork.
• Maintains a neat and safe work environment. Utilizes equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Leaves work area at the end of shift in an orderly manner.
• Prioritizes work and provides prompt and efficient service working closely with others to positively acheive department objectives. Demonstrates flexibility thru the modification of ethe assigned schedule in order to meet customer demands with minimal notification.
