Building Maintenance Technician – JLL
What this job involves:
As a Building Maintenance Technician at JLL, you will play a vital role in ensuring the operational excellence and safety of our commercial properties. You will be responsible for maintaining building systems, performing repairs, and responding to tenant needs with professionalism and efficiency. This hands-on position contributes directly to JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional facility management services and creating safe, comfortable environments for our clients and their occupants. What your day-to-day will look like:
Perform routine inspections of commercial buildings, identifying maintenance needs and safety concerns
Conduct general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work
Maintain and troubleshoot building systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, and mechanical equipment
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or management, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Perform preventative maintenance to extend the life of building systems and equipment
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance projects
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using maintenance tracking systems
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar role (minimum 2-3 years preferred)
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair techniques
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to read technical manuals and building plans
Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical certification or trade license in HVAC, electrical, or building maintenance
Experience working in commercial or multi-tenant buildings
Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, local building codes)
Basic computer skills for reporting and maintenance tracking
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
