Responsibilities
The Security Administrator I will collaborate with members of the Corporate Security Team to ensure compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community program security directives. This role offers an excellent opportunity to begin a career within the National Industrial Security Base while gaining the experience and knowledge needed to build a specialized and highly sought-after career path.
In addition, this position will play an integral role in supporting the expansion and re-alignment of the security service center. The Security Administrator will report directly to the Corporate Facility Security Officer (FSO).
Daily Duties and responsibilities will be:
- Serve as an Escort within restricted spaces.
- Review and update access control system.
- Ensure employee and visitor credentials are issued and monitored.
- Prepare and process visit authorization requests/letters (VAR’s/VALs).
- PerSec (Personnel Security) administrative functions to include, but not limited to:
- Initiate Background Investigations for positions of classified suitability
- Serve as the ACPSO (Assistant Contract Program Security Officer)
- Support Pre-employment and continuous evaluation vetting.
- Support citizenship verifications
- DISS administrative support functions – submit visit authorization, in-process, indoctrinate, debrief, out-process employees, submit CSR's, and generating reports
- Communicate status updates to the FSO, Program Leaders and employees undergoing suitability determinations.
- Perform security briefings/debriefings
- Process requests for special accesses.
- Submit electronic fingerprints through SWFT
- Manage document control database (SIMS) for incoming and outgoing classified material. Ensure all classified material is properly accounted for, controlled, transmitted, transported, packaged, safeguarded, and destroyed in accordance with the NISPOM and contractual
Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS clearance with SCI eligibility. Active clearance within the last 24 months preferred. None DoD reciprocal clearances are considered after verification.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a high-paced corporate environment.
- Supports teamwork, partnership and open communication.
- Executes responsibilities with urgency, sound judgement, and the highest level of ethical and professional standards.
- Must be flexible – adapt to changes in the work environment and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under stress, despite numerous interruptions
- Accuracy and attention to detail, critical
- Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems
- Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing

- Must have strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Personnel Security, Government or Industry Experience
- Woking knowledge of DISS, NISS, and ACCS,
- Understanding of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual
- Familiarity with SIMS, Trust Visitor, C•Cure, First Advantage
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills and the ability to relay technical information to others
- Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills
- Experience working in a service center environment
