POSITION: Schedule II Secretary - Academy
LOCATION: Nashua High School South
WORK YEAR: Schedule II - Full time during the school year and part time in the summer
STARTING: ASAP
SALARY RANGE: $21.18 per hour, Benefits per Union Contract
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school education. A minimum of 2 years previous experience with secretarial office functions. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, Word, and software database programs. Must have proven organization skills and strong reading comprehension. A candidate must also possess experience with document filing protocols, strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works collaboratively with administrators and teachers in coordinating daily attendance records, including but not limited to checking tardies, dismissals, excused absences and field trips. Interact with parents in a courteous, confidential and professional manner regarding attendance and other student issues in accordance with the established attendance policy. Assist administrators using the student management information system by providing information from the system; compile daily attendance and other reports. Provide coverage of fellow employees absences and lunches; reviews student notes to determine excused or unexcused notes, record information using start base as well as log in agenda book for quick reference; maintain confidentiality of student information, circumstances, situations, etc., at all times. Other duties as assigned.
