Job Summary:

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring adherence to program expectations, participating in treatment planning, assisting with daily activities, facilitating groups, providing transportation, and creating a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities:
Encourage clients to adhere to program expectations and rules
Participate in treatment teams and document client progress
Facilitate group sessions and educational programs
Provide transportation and support daily activities as needed
Maintain a safe and clean environment, report maintenance issues, and adhere to program policies and procedures
Residential Facility:
Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients/patients
Monitor vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, and medication administration
Assist with personal care (e.g. grooming, bathing, dressing) as needed
Ensure client safety and supervision, including regular checks
Facilitate client participation in program activities and services
Residential Care Facility (RCF):
Assist with personal care (e.g. grooming, bathing, dressing) as needed
Monitor vital signs and medication administration
Ensure client safety and supervision, including regular checks
Facilitate client participation in program activities and services
Assist with admission and discharge processes
Withdrawal Management:
Monitor clients for signs and symptoms of withdrawal
Ensure safe and effective management of withdrawal symptoms
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor effects
Provide support and encouragement throughout the withdrawal process
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
High School education OR equivalent and two (2) years responsible employment
Experience in Human Services or related field preferred
Required License/Certification:
Within the first ninety (90) days in position (for Residential Care Facility): Become credentialed as a Level 1 Med Aid (LIMA) and be Insulin Certified
