About the Job
We are looking for a Communications Specialist that will outline the communication strategies and objectives for delivering the information to the right audience at the right time and through the most appropriate channels. The ideal candidate will review communication materials for content, clarity, grammar, and adherence to the brand voice, and will be creative in approaching different platforms, and effective in getting the information out to the intended receiver.
As a Communications Specialist, You Will…:
Develop and write clear, engaging, and targeted content for various platforms, including employee communication, award-nomination forms, press releases, newsletters, speeches, and marketing materials
Ensure all content aligns with the organization's brand voice and messaging guidelines
Collaborate with departments to create and disseminate internal communications that keep employees informed and engaged promptly
Ensure that all communications are properly disseminated
on the right platform, are easily accessible, and are available within the organization at the right time
Develop communication plans for internal initiatives, events, and announcements
Coordinate with the Regional Communications Specialist on all communication activities intended for the region
Ensure that sharepointe or google folders are updated with new/modified information regarding
Facilitate meetings with internal stakeholders on communication requests
Collaborate with the Employee Experience (EX) team to develop communication plans for internal and external initiatives, events, (such as conferences, webinars, and community outreach initiatives), and announcements.
Organize a communication plan (project tracker included) to execute communication projects efficiently & effectively
Collaborate with the EX team in creating promotional materials using company tools and/or coordinate with the multi-media specialist or global branding team to design the materials
Conduct surveys and gather feedback to evaluate communication effectiveness
Help improve the organization’s employer branding by enhancing the brand’s identity and reputation
Ensure consistency in messaging across all communication channels Crisis Communication
Collaborate with the Social Media Specialist in monitoring industry trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences to inform communication strategies
Assist in developing crisis communication plans and support management during crisis situations
Coordinate with Global Marketing to prepare statements to media inquiries during crisis Media Relations
Build and maintain relationships with media outlets to secure positive coverage and manage potential crisis
As a Communications Specialist, You Need…
Graduate of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Integrated Communications & Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Media or Public Relations
At least 3-4 years of work experience in communication
Social media savvy and pop culture junkie
Knowledgeable in the technical side of communication
Proficient in Google suite and experience navigating Canva is preferred
Knowledgeable and experienced in managing various communication platforms
Advertising, Event, or Creative Agency experience is an advantage
Photo and video-editing knowledge and experience is a plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
A team player mentality with an enthusiastic and positive attitude
Self-motivation with a passion to reach goals
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other teams
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a sense of urgency
Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
