The Role
Are you a seasoned HR professional ready to make a meaningful impact? Baxter Healthcare is seeking a strategic and influential HR Manager to lead our People & Culture agenda across our ANZ Manufacturing operations.
In this pivotal role, you’ll partner closely with our Toongabbie Manufacturing Plant, driving initiatives that strengthen culture, elevate leadership capability, and enhance performance and employee engagement. Your work will directly influence how we support, develop, and empower our people.
As a trusted advisor, you’ll collaborate with Senior Leadership teams across Manufacturing and Quality, providing expert guidance to navigate challenges, deliver on strategic objectives, and build high-performing teams. Your ability to influence, coach, and build strong relationships at a senior level will be key to your success.
About You
You are a commercially minded and credible HR leader with a proven ability to partner senior stakeholders in complex environments, ideally within manufacturing or regulated industries. You balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and are known for influencing and coaching leaders, navigating ambiguity, and driving meaningful cultural change. With strong interpersonal skills and resilience, you build trust quickly, communicate with impact, and thrive in fast-paced environments where you can make a real difference to people and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the ANZ HR Team for Employee Relations, payroll, HR Admin, and Talent Management support
Partner with Directors to drive effective organizational alignment and processes
Lead change management initiatives in collaboration with Senior Leadership teams
Drive an effective reward and recognition strategy to reinforce our culture and desired behaviors
Furnish mentoring on performance management to People Leaders, establishing training modules in conjunction with L&D
Stay informed about employment laws and regulations in ANZ and ensure compliance
Manage the workers' compensation process for Manufacturing and Supply Chain
Report on HR activities, initiatives, and operations, such as absences, overtime, turnover, and ACE’s
Manage development plans and succession planning across the business
Champion culture initiatives to improve our reputation as a great place to work.
Key Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related fields
Ideally 6+ years of experience in a Human Resources environment
Demonstrates strong business insight and judgement
Ability to provide accurate and timely advice on HR policies, practices, and Employment Laws across Australia
Experience in providing HR and employee relations advice in a complex global environment
Proven experience in influencing company culture and leading culture change programs
Strong leadership and influence skills with the ability to inspire change
Proven skill in developing strong connections with executives and impacting the choices of top-level management
Strong project management skills with a results orientation
Track record of delivering results
Outstanding communication and listening skills
Solid knowledge of HR strategies, practices, and policies
Ability to deal with ambiguity and prioritize under pressure.
