Job Summary
The Traffic Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily shipping operations by managing inventory allocation, coordinating transportation, and ensuring timely communication with drivers, carriers, and internal teams. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient logistics and accurate documentation to support on-time deliveries and operational flow.

Job Function
· Allocation of inventory for outgoing shipments and ensuring accuracy of allocated material · Checking/verifying stock levels and material locations for shift operators via radio communication · Prepare and finalize driver pay sheets upon completion of assigned loads · Generate and distribute BOLs and MTRs, including emailing required documentation to designated customers · Input freight rates into freight accrual system for accurate cost tracking · Create and verify Pre-Receiving documentation for inbound shipments · Committing Inventory based on completed Pre-Receiving documentation · Generate and analyze Material Reservation Reports · Checking inbound material status · Perform product Cutting and designate Process Completions when necessary · Complete Product Processing Orders (PPOs) as required · Track and manage transportation inventory (equipment, trailers, etc.) · Communicate with drivers and carriers regarding estimated load completion times and status updates · Coordinate replacement carriers when necessary · Communicate with sales all back orders, shipment delays and any other load-related issues. · Proactively share available loads with outside carriers/brokers to secure transportation in a timely manner · Coordinate Returned Material Authorizations (RMAs) and manage the return goods process · Provide backup coverage for team members during absences due to vacation or sick leave · Complete and distribute the daily shipping log to sales and other departments for visibility and planning · Assemble loads for the upcoming days and update the shipping log accordingly · Queue shippers and print pick sheets for current and next day orders · Manage and trouble shoot Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) to ensure driver compliance · Manage and trouble shoot the Smart Drive system for driver operations and safety monitoring Assist the manager with driver payroll by accurately tracking and verifying mileage to ensure timely and correct compensation.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of shipping and traffic operations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word preferred
- Basic map reading and route planning skills
- General computer proficiency and adaptability to new systems
- Familiarity with DOT regulations is a plus
