IU Health Methodist proudly anchors downtown Indianapolis as a Level 1 Trauma facility, featuring 29 state-of-the-art Operating suites. Our expertise spans diverse specialties, including Trauma, Orthopedics, Cardiovascular, Vascular, Neurology, and General Surgery. From tackling complex cases to addressing the challenges of Trauma injuries, we provide critical care for high acuity patients across various clinical specialties.
Anesthesia Technicians assist Anesthesiologists and CRNAs during trauma cases and other special cases with their supply and equipment needs. Maintains appropriate inventory levels of anesthesia drugs and supplies for the operating room area. Sets up, troubleshoots and maintains pressure monitoring equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience is required.
• Requires knowledge of anesthesia drugs and supplies for ordering and maintaining supply levels.
• Requires knowledge of equipment setup and maintenance along with the ability to perform minor troubleshooting of equipment.
