America Reports is looking for a talented, organized, and motivated Associate Producer with a strong news instinct and a genuine passion for politics and breaking news. In this role, you'll write compelling anchor scripts—including readers, VOSOTs, and guest and reporter intros—as well as craft sharp lower thirds and teases. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, has stellar communication skills, and has the drive to win.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Write copy including readers and teases
Pitch, develop, and produce original story ideas
Monitor live events to identify breaking news and important developments
Stay ahead of the day's news by tracking editorial updates and communicating changes quickly and effectively to the team
Perform research, find, cut, and produce elements, and write scripts as needed
Coordinate daily story development with show team
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
Experience in television news production
Strong editorial judgment and logistical skills, with a solid understanding of national and international politics
A self-starter who can work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly during breaking news
Familiarity with iNews, Dalet, and VIZ preferred

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $67,000.00-75,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
