As part of our PPD clinical research team, you’ll have the opportunity to support groundbreaking studies that make a real difference in patients’ lives. As a Kit Production Coordinator, you will have a pivotal role in the flawless production and distribution of laboratory kits. Your contributions will help maintain our high standards of quality and reliability in serving clients and internal teams.

What You'll Do:

Assist in the Global Kit Production, distribution and order fulfillment ensuring supplies are processed in a timely manner.

The Logistics Coordinator ensures a high level of support, service, reliability, and availability to external kit vendors and internal departments. 

This function is 100% office based.

Additional / Specific Job Responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator:

  • Reports to Team Lead Kit Production

  • Provides supplies and shipping support including assembling and packing laboratory kits following study kit specifications

  • Perform quality control checks on assembled kits

  • Order fulfillment and shipping

  • Performs labelling activities and any activity related to kit production

  • Assist with (un)loading activities

  • Supports resolution of Kit Vendor Quality Events

  • Incorrect documents

  • Guidelines discrepancies/updates

  • Kit building errors

  • Overdue orders

  • Supports information sharing within GSS department

  • Occasionally attend weekly kitting vendor operational meetings

  • Support flex tasks within GSS and Sample Management

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant formal academic / vocational qualification. Technical positions may require a certificate.

  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (0-1 years of experience).

*In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong computer skills

  • Time management skills

  • Accurate data entry skills

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

  • Frequent mobility required (standing, twisting waist, squats, bending)

  • Lifting/carrying

  • Exposure to fluctuating temperatures and exposure to potentially infectious and hazardous substances

  • Regular rotation of work schedule to include early start and late end time

  • Maintains confidentiality of client protocols and study date

  • Adaptive to changes and ability to handle high-pressure situations

  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently with moderate direct supervision

  • Ability to use proper channels of communications to voice concerns and suggestions
