At DaVita, our mission is the unwavering pursuit of a healthier tomorrow—and that starts right here, with our own Village. As the Benefits Program Manager, you will be at the heart of this mission, directly shaping the health, wellness, and vitality of DaVita teammates and their families. In this highly collaborative role, you will co-manage and drive the strategy, implementation, and ongoing evolution of comprehensive benefit programs/portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Benefits, you will champion our overarching population health strategy by overseeing key benefit vendors and our flagship incentive programs. If you are a cross-functional connector who loves building awareness, equipping people with the right tools, and fostering a culture of holistic well-being, we want you to help us empower our teammates to thrive.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Vendor & Program Management: Serve as the primary project manager and relationship owner for various benefit vendors. Monitor program execution, strategy, and continuous improvement.
  • Wellness Incentive Screening Program Administration: Oversee the annual setup, administration, and ongoing management of the wellness incentive program. This includes coordinating file testing with external vendor partners, managing eligibility file integrations, and overseeing the screening appeal and investigation process.
  • Population Health Strategy: Support the broader population health strategy by leveraging data and metrics to assess program effectiveness. Recommend and implement programmatic changes to improve health outcomes for DaVita teammates.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Management: Partner with internal teams (such as Communications, Legal, IT, Operations, People Services and external brokers) to drive initiatives forward. Strong project management skills to ensure alignment of wellness programs with larger People Services (HR) and company goals.
  • Communications & Teammate Education: Collaborate with the internal communications team to design, develop, and distribute engaging program communications that help drive engagement and tell the story of their impact. Present and educate teammates and leadership on new and existing benefit initiatives.
  • General Support: Other duties as assigned, including complex teammate inquiries, special projects, and Open Enrollment support.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education/Health Promotion, Health Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience working for a mid-size to large employer in a benefits, wellness, or population health capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist), or relevant HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) are a strong value-add.

Essential Behaviors, Skills, and Attitudes

  • Commitment to DaVita’s core values of Service Excellence, Integrity, Team, Continuous Improvement, Accountability, Fulfillment, and Fun.
  • Project Management: Exceptional organizational and project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple vendor initiatives simultaneously.
  • Communication: Very strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation and public speaking experience.
  • Collaboration & Relationship Management: Strong relationship management skills with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously while successfully collaborating cross-functionally across a large organization.
  • Change Management: Proven experience driving change, while effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze metrics and translate data into action to support program strategy and improvements.
  • Forward-thinking, compliance-minded, and capable of autonomous decision-making with a strong focus on innovation and thinking outside the box.
  • Thrives and enjoys working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment alongside a highly tenured team.
