As a Dietary Aide, you will play an important role in ensuring residents receive nutritious meals and excellent dining service while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment.
The Opportunity
Position: Dietary Aide – Full-Time
Location: East Bay Post Acute
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time
Responsibilities
Assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, and meal service according to dietary guidelines
Deliver meals and snacks to residents in a timely and courteous manner
Review resident meal tickets to ensure accuracy and dietary compliance
Assist residents during meal service as needed
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and food storage areas
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment following sanitation standards
Properly store food and supplies according to facility and health department requirements
Follow infection control, food safety, and workplace safety procedures
Work collaboratively with dietary staff and other departments to support resident satisfaction
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous dietary, food service, healthcare, or restaurant experience preferred but not required
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus
Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
Reliable attendance and a positive attitude
