How you’ll contribute

The Director of Clinical Operations oversees all clinical treatment programs for patients receiving psychiatric and substance use care across inpatient and outpatient settings. The Director ensures delivery of high‑quality, integrated clinical services and provides leadership for individual and group counseling. This role develops and implements therapeutic modalities, oversees discharge planning to support effective transitions of care, and ensures clinical documentation is accurate, current, and compliant with all regulatory and organizational standards.

• Ensures all company‑approved programs are implemented consistently and in accordance with established standards.
• Provides oversight and performance feedback to therapists through evaluations and, when necessary, corrective counseling.
• Ensures all therapeutic interventions—individual, group, and family—are delivered and documented in compliance with professional clinical standards.
• Actively participates in regulatory and accreditation surveys, including The Joint Commission, Medicare, and state licensing reviews.
• Coordinates performance improvement initiatives and completes required monthly reporting.
• Attends treatment team meetings regularly to support coordinated, patient‑centered care.
• Ensures clear communication of therapeutic roles and treatment plans with patients and families.
• Participates in the complaint‑resolution process as needed to support timely and appropriate outcomes.
• Collaborates with hospital leadership to support effective operations and alignment of clinical services.

Qualifications and requirements 

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field from an accredited school required.
  • Independent Counseling or Social Work license required per state regulations. 
  • Three years of clinical experience in an inpatient behavioral health care setting required. 
  • Three years of experience working with patient populations served at the facility required.
  • CPR certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
  • De-escalation certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
