Baptist Health is looking to add a Lead Security Officer to our Protective Services Department at our Baptist St. Augustine FSED location. This is a full-time opportunity working 12-hour shifts, 6:00am-6:00pm.
The Lead Security Officer's primary function is to assure the day-to-day safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring the medical center properties. As patient safety and experience are top priority this growing team is currently implementing new technologies such as metal detectors.
As a Lead Security Officer you will be responsible for:
Providing all the services of a Safety and Security Officer.
This position also receives special training in other areas such as, investigations, security equipment, administration, safety, haz mat, training.
Handling the materials management ordering for the location and will need to trained to have access to the supply chain software.
Lead Security Officer Experience:
3-5 Years Law Enforcement Experience
3-5 Years Security Officer Experience
3-5 Years Military Experience
1-2 years Healthcare Experience
Education & Credential Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Required
Associate of Arts or Science Preferred
International Assn for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) Supervisor Certification Preferred
International Assn for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) Advanced Certification Preferred
Driver's License Required
