The Product Engineer acts as technical lead in assuring the quality, durability, reliability, and cost of gas turbine overhauls for multiple Solar product lines. This role works closely with turbine and gear design resources locally as well as Worldwide Overhaul Centers to resolve technical issues that arise during product disassembly, assembly, and testing.
What will be your tasks/responsibilities?
- Ownership of multiple Solar Turbines product lines
- Solution research and engine assembly support interactions with shop employees to establish time standards and gather other data.
- Data analysis and evaluation
- Product Engineer provides direct input into the disassembly, assembly and test processes including tooling support and work instructions.
- Improvement of the process in safety, quality, costs, velocity and implementation of new processes and equipment
- Meeting product specifications in the areas of reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and manufacturability
- Interdepartmental communication with Engineering in US
What do we expect from a suitable candidate?
- Bachelor or Master Science Degree in Engineering. Preferably Aerospace, Mechanical, Energetics or Transportation or demonstrable equivalent experience in a related field
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in resolving technical issues.
- Proficient in engineering and office-based computer applications.
- Five years of experience in the manufacturing, assembly, or repair of gas turbine engines or equivalent
- 6 sigma experience, experienced in applying statistical analysis tools.
- Advanced proficiency in English and Czech.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and Manufacturing instructions.
- Good Team player
Base Minimum Pay:
Kč771,708.00
Please note that salary is only one component of the total compensation and benefit package available at Caterpillar.
This position requires working onsite five days a week.
