Cook Job Summary

As a Cook, you will prepare high‑quality food, follow recipes, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and help deliver an exceptional dining experience. This Cook position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast‑paced kitchen, values teamwork, and wants to grow in the restaurant industry.

Cook Responsibilities

• Prep, portion, and prepare ingredients according to recipes
• Cook menu items to Big Woods standards for taste and consistency
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Maintain clean, organized cooking stations
• Plate dishes according to restaurant presentation standards
• Communicate with kitchen and front‑of‑house staff to ensure timely service
• Monitor food quality throughout preparation
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment
• Support kitchen team during busy shifts

Cook Qualifications

• Experience as a Cook, Line Cook, Prep Cook, or kitchen staff preferred (but not required)
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and follow recipes
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• ServeSafe Certification preferred (not required)
• On‑the‑job training provided
