Job Summary:

This position is responsible for managing IT services and solutions for Logistics and Cross-Functional business areas, including business consulting, IT demand     management, change management, and release management for assigned MBV applications. The role serves as the primary IT point of contact for business stakeholders and ensures alignment of application services with global IT strategy, business requirements, and operational standards. This position oversees the stable operation and lifecycle management of assigned applications and supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business processes, service quality, and operational efficiency. 

Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary IT point of contact for Logistics and Cross-Functional business stakeholders, providing business consulting and IT demand management support to enable effective digital solutions and process improvements.

Ensure stable day-to-day operation of production-critical systems and other assigned business applications, including oversight of second-level application support, incident management, and problem management activities.

Manage and coordinate application changes, system updates, releases, and enhancements in collaboration with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and external service providers.

Lead, manage, develop, and engage assigned employees in alignment with organizational values, performance objectives, and business priorities.

Monitor and facilitate operational IT services in accordance with agreed service levels, operational standards, and business expectations.

Promote effective collaboration and seamless processes across internal IT teams to support reliable service delivery and timely issue resolution.

Support operational budget planning, IT controlling activities, and achievement of department cost targets within the assigned area of responsibility.

Coordinate with suppliers and internal shared services to monitor service performance, identify cost-efficiency opportunities, and support effective contract and service level agreement management.

Perform responsibilities independently within the assigned scope of authority and complete additional duties as assigned to support departmental objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Leads team of direct and indirect reports 

  • Leads employees in line with organizational culture, values and guidelines 

  • Defines performance goals, conducts performance reviews 

  • Effectively communicates and engages employees to meet objectives 

  • Responsible for employee development and qualification 

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Manages budget and personnel allocation efficiently.  

  • Conveys budget distribution and cost saving processes to colleagues. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or other technical discipline or in comparable studies.  

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in IT System Development and/or IT Operations.   

  • Proven expertise and knowledge regarding IT Application Landscapes and IT Infrastructure related to the Production & Shop Floor. 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Collaboration with external partners, suppliers. 

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  • Negotiating skills, personal ability to motivate people and to achieve the fulfillment of the local requirements 

  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams. 

  • Skills for conceptual and strategic development
