As an Outside Sales Manager you are responsible for leading a team of Outside Sales Representative's to help drive territory sales and facilitate growth within your perspective market and accounts.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Meets or exceeds sales goals and profit margin targets established within the market
- Develop and execute a sales program that reflects a strong understanding of what drives profitability
- Forecasts sales and profits while being held accountable for performance on a consistent basis
- Prepares strategically defined sales plans and programs to expand the company’s sales volume aggressively and profitably in its defined markets
- Makes sales call to customers to help secure business and improve profitability
- Train, coach, and mentor territory managers to drive sales performance and achieve market share profit objectives
- Provides the General Manager with regular guidance on pricing, customer service, inventory management, and plant scheduling to achieve volume and margin objectives
- Shows commercial expertise by understanding competitors and how best to position our client’s offer against them
- Builds credibility and trust with current and potential customers by providing excellent customer service and leading by example
- Drives a culture that will respond quickly to resolve customer concerns

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years sales management experience
- Professional, leadership-oriented image
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Assertive, competitive and goal oriented
- Ideally based out of Dallas or Houston metro areas and willing to travel up to 75%
