Job Description
A Slot Floorperson authorizes jackpots; corrects minor electronic gaming device malfunctions; performs and responds to guest needs.
- Actively patrols assigned sections looking for opportunities to surprise and delight guests. Enhance guest’s slot entertainment experience by creating a fun, high-energy environment through the celebration of slot wins and building players’ perception of luck.
- Develops customer loyalty by delivering unparalleled guest interactions as directed by company trained initiatives
- Clearly communicates functionality of Slot Floor (i.e., Fast Cash - ticket in/ticket out)
- Responds to the right customers in the right order for service requests including slot dispatch, slot candle lights, radio, and customers while meeting or exceeding department service standards. Verifies and countersigns hand paid jackpots
- Resolves guest complaints through the use of Service Recovery with a sense of urgency and empathy with approved levels of authority
- Keeps slot areas clean, secure, and well maintained
- Professional appearance, excellent personal hygiene.
- Courteous, friendly, outgoing personality is essential
- Good organization and communication skills required
- Accuracy and diligence are necessary while working in a loud, fast-paced environment with constant public contact with frequent interruptions
Other duties as assigned.
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must be able to obtain & maintain an active Illinois Gaming License.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
- Requires bending, stooping and reaching from floor level to approximately 6 feet high
- Always display a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Capacity to work well with others and handle stressful situations with ease.
- Possess effective learning skills.
- Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period
- Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions and pass math assessment.
- Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Must be able to work in areas containing dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
Salary Range: $9.00 per hour + pooled tips
