About the Role:
As a member of the Treaty Casualty Reinsurance team, you will contribute to achieving departmental goals by providing support to underwriters through the efficient processing and timely booking of business while adhering to procedures and technical guidance. This role plays an important part in quality assurance, data accuracy, audit compliance and contributing insights that help create efficiencies and improve workflows.
Main Responsibilities
Provide high-quality service to internal and external customers
Monitor departmental inboxes and set up new and renewal submissions in systems on time
Create and maintain electronic files; track completion to support audit compliance
Analyze contracts and review underwriting documents to capture agreed terms accurately in systems
Partner with underwriters to meet monthly deadlines and ensure premium is processed and booked
Process premium adjustments and cancellations
Follow up with underwriters to obtain missing or final documentation
Complete quality reviews as assigned
Support the annual self-audit process
Use sound judgment to troubleshoot and resolve inquiries, including accounting and claims requests
Identify process improvements and support system enhancements, including User Acceptance Testing
Participate in special projects as needed
Collaborate across teams to drive process optimization and continuous improvement
Continuously build skills and knowledge to better support the business
Experience/Skills
5+ years of experience in a similar role
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity
Strong organization and time-management skills
Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills
Quick to learn and navigate new systems/tools; automation exposure a plus
Able to manage competing priorities while maintaining output quality
Strong relationship-building skills with underwriters and partner teams (actuarial, legal, claims, etc.)
Team-oriented communicator with a shared problem-solving mindset
The base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
