Rework Operator
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Rework Operator is responsible for carrying out general rework operations according to planned operational requirements in order to safely deliver a good quality product to customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform initial inspection and cleaning
- Monitor quality against set standards and reports any product defects.
- Prepare, complete, measure, and install work - clamping equipment and tools.
- Ensure all rework products are properly tagged and received from the line.
- Daily communication with production surrounding rework.
- Utilize appropriate safety and environmental procedures for people, processes, materials, products and equipment relevant to the task.
- Training of new personnel.
- Document problems and arrange corrective action.
- Monitor work processes, conduct service work, housekeeping/cleaning duties, etc.
- Develop and implement ways to do complex and difficult rework on work pieces.
- Any and all other duties assigned by the supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years' experience in a production environment
- Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
- High School Diploma
- Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to a minimum of 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
- Repetitive motions including bending, stooping, gripping, twisting, pushing, pulling.
- Able to stand the majority of the shift to perform duties (10 hours max)
