POSITION SUMMARY
As the Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and administrative tasks related to the front office of Summit’s Flight School. Work directly with other department heads to support and maintain a professional office environment. This position works with minimal supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Answering telephone calls and emails from customers, clients and vendors and directing them to relevant staff
Greet visitors and team members with high level customer service and a positive attitude
Monitoring office(s), Kitchen Supplies, as needed; daily, weekly, monthly and annually.
Reporting office progress to senior management and working with them to improve office operations and procedures.
Work closely with accounting on accepting and setting up payments for flight school students and follow up items i.e., returned checks, rejected credit cards, student discrepancies etc.
Sort incoming and outgoing mail and delivers to appropriate department or individual
Be familiar with all Summit Aviation’s programs such as charter operations, intro flights, flight school operations and the standards and procedures of each
Paper & electronic filing; including scanning projects and various filings
Responsible for opening Summit Office(s) within listed open hours posted
Assists in new hiring process; including adding to the birthday calendar, ordering employee uniforms, security training, explaining google contacts, and other areas as needed.
Set up cleaning services for the Summit office(s); weekly, monthly, and annually.
General office errands as requested/assigned by your supervisor
Oversee vendor account for employee embroidery logo apparel; gathering invoices and dispersing to correct employee, paying invoices for new hire apparel, ordering apparel as needed.
Designated test proctor for Summit’s flight school; always complying with FAA regulations.
Performs clerical duties including typing and filing.
Update social media with student accomplishments and updates
Keep all common areas free from safety hazards, clean and well organized, i.e., reception area, lobby, supply areas, etc.
Operates and maintains office machines including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, and other standard office equipment
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
This position manages the following positions on a daily basis.
This position will not have management responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Highschool Diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education and experience
Applies existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within a department
Use sound judgement and experience to solve moderately complex problems based on precedent, example, and reasonableness or a combination of these.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers
Organization and the ability to multitask to complete wide variety of tasks
Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with customers, clients, vendors, and employees.
Maintain good working relationship with executives and other managers
Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly

The expected base hourly range for this role is $30.67- $43.73, which represents the company’s current good-faith estimate of compensation for this position. Actual pay rate will depend on factors such as, but not limited to, candidate experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific work location. This role may also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, paid time off, and wellness resources).
