- Location: Will support all 9 Central Florida outpatient pharmacies (Orlando, Ginsburg Tower, Celebration, East Orlando, Apopka, Altamonte Springs, Kissimmee, Winter Park, Winter Garden, Minneola).
- Schedule: Shifts will vary, but hours could include Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday/Sunday 10am to 6pm. 40 hours a week.
- Screens for drug allergies, interactions, contraindications, therapy duplication, non-compliance, and other drug-related issues.
- Contacts physicians for any prescription questions or irregularities.
- Provides drug therapy suggestions during counseling sessions.
- Accurately calculates drug dosages for proper dispensing.
- Prepares and labels medications accurately or supervises technicians in doing so.
- Uses good aseptic technique in preparing extemporaneous medications or supervises technicians.
- Checks prescriptions and drug labels for accuracy before final dispensing.
- Accurately interprets prescriptions, checking for appropriate medication dose, strength, route, frequency, and prescribing directions.
- Greets patients and fills in clinical information or supervises staff in doing so.
- Demonstrates the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
- Maintains accurate computer records of dispensed medications.
- Dispenses narcotics in compliance with requirements or supervises technicians.
- Coordinates prescription processing and medication dispensing.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills [Preferred]
• Willingness to interact with and teach pharmacy residents, students, and graduates of international pharmacy schools [Preferred]
Education:
• Bachelor's [Required]
• Doctorate [Preferred]
Field of Study:
• in Pharmacy
Work Experience:
• Experience in a community pharmacy and previous clinical experience [Preferred]

• Licensed Pharmacist (RPh) in good standing in the State(s) of practice [Required]

Pay Range:
$50.49 - $93.91Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
