The role
We are seeking an experienced OHS Inspector to join our team for a significant power and energy project based in Hyderabad, Pakistan. The role will support the implementation and monitoring of occupational health and safety requirements across project activities, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and project-specific safety procedures.
- Conduct routine site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices.
- Monitor contractor compliance with project HSE plans, method statements, and permit-to-work requirements.
- Verify that all personnel are using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely closure of safety observations and non-conformances.
- Assist in conducting incident investigations and preparing investigation reports.
- Maintain HSE inspection records, checklists, permits, and other safety documentation.
- Liaise with site supervisors, engineers, and contractors to address safety concerns and improve site safety performance.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and encourage workforce participation in HSE initiatives.
With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- Tertiary qualifications or a related discipline (e.g. bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering/environmental sciences or similar field).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in occupational health and safety inspection and monitoring.
- Experience working on power, energy, transmission, or distribution infrastructure projects.
- Experience conducting site inspections, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Good communication and reporting skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
