Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified BIM Specialist to join our thriving engineering and design practice. As a BIM Specialist you’ll be the front-line support for project teams, ensuring models are built to standard and workflows are optimized for efficiency. You’ll play a key role in maintaining BIM quality and empowering teams to deliver high-performance digital designs. You’ll also work closely with IT, Communications, Security, Audio-Visual, Mechanical, Plumbing & Electrical disciplines and external BIM leaders. This candidate must be able to work independently as well as with a technical design team of engineers and designers. Projects range from single site buildings to multi-building full campus renovations, and green field construction. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Set up and maintain Revit and AutoCAD projects using client provided standards and maintain ownership through the project lifecycle. 
  • Participate and lead BIM coordination meetings with external consultants, contractors, and subs 
  • Enforce company and discipline standards, LOD requirements, general drafting standards, and best practices for construction documents and BIM 
  • Provide general technical & troubleshooting support for Revit & AutoCAD etc. 
  • Utilize Navisworks, Revizto, Blue Beam, Outlook, Word, Excel, and learn other programs as required per project. 
  • Develop, modify, and maintain high-quality BIM assets using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring alignment with client standards and objectives. Coordinate and self-manage deadlines and deliverables for BIM projects across multiple markets, disciplines, and project managers. 
  • Show initiative to advance skills in AI support tools and propose automation solutions. 
  • Employ effective communication skills, organization skills, ability to effectively multi-task, and display acute attention to detail while working in a team environment. 
  • Contribute to internal training initiatives and documentation development. 
  • Support research and development efforts related to emerging hardware, software, and production workflows. 
Requirements: 
  • Associates in Applied Science in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of 3 years' recent experience. 
  • Successful Candidates should demonstrate, through resume and/or portfolio, experience in the production of construction documents, such as site plans, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans and equipment schedules. 
  • Experience with multiple disciplines, including Low Voltage, Electrical, Mechanical, and similar systems. 
  • Working experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office Products. 
  • Ideal candidates will have intermediate to advanced skills in the current systems: Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Navisworks, Dynamo, Python or Grasshopper, and an understanding of the Revit API 
Salary:
  • $70,000-$90,000 depending on education, skill, experience and geographical location considerations.
