Job Description

Our vision for Amazon Freight (AF) is to build a profitable, commercial service that drives the Amazon transportation flywheel and delights shippers with the most reliable, convenient, transparent and competitively priced service in the industry. This role will be responsible for driving 3P terminal performance including safety, quality and productivity KPI's and driving network level solutions.

You should have exceptional program and project management skills with the ability to build effective mechanisms and influence without authority across organizations. You should be able to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment where you will wear many hats. You should be comfortable flexing between tactical and strategic work, diving deeply into the day-to-day business and technical domains to inform strategic and operational decision making. As AF grows to service even more customers and branches out into additional customer bases, the programs complexity will grow and this role will be pivotal in defining the processes to support that growth. In addition, you need to possess strong analytical and communication skills and high intellectual curiosity to learn new concepts and methodologies.

Travel within the US is required 25%-50% of the time. More travel may be required based on terminal performance or business needs.

Key job responsibilities
- Serve as the Single Threaded Leader for operational growth and risk mitigation goals.

- Remove bottlenecks and accelerate the expansion of operational capacity.

- Identify key risks across the operation; build and execute a prioritized roadmap of mitigation and contingency plans.

- Drive process improvements, un-earth opportunities and present findings and recommendations to business partners and leadership.

- Lead important and innovative special projects to delight our customers.

- Influence overall program strategy and stakeholders beyond your direct scope.

A day in the life
A day in the life of an AF consists of supporting terminals operations for 3P operations. This includes driving safety, quality and performance conversations, escalating concerns, advising on best practices, partnering with the terminal to remove barriers and delivering for our customers. Additionally, this role will own SMEship(s), drive network-level projects/initiatives, and will support with AF's Terminal Procurement efforts.

AF is a growing business that is continuing to define and redefine expectations to delight our customers. We are constantly looking to improve performance and invent on behalf of our customers. Additionally, we are being viewed as a key partner to lower total inbound cost while improving inventory placement in NACF.

- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- 2+ years of supply chain experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
