POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the analysis, design, code, test, implementation documentation and support of new software applications and enhancements to existing applications. Leads the design and preparation of specifications to resolve business issues. Provides technology solutions to allow business units to achieve their objectives and goals. This will include working with both senior and junior team members to achieve organizational goals. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORS: In a standard office environment, activities require a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor). Physical demands may include walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping. May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling up to 25lbs
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Design and develop applications from specification to implementation in the Microsoft Stack.
- Ensure continued functionality of a program during maintenance and testing of software.
- Ability to collaborate with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
- Persuasive communication skills necessary to collect essential information, answer questions, and direct interactions to positive outcomes in a professional and courteous manner.
- Verbal and written communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong customer service orientation; problem ownership and driving timely resolution.
- Working in a 24/7/365 environment.
- Foster a team environment through transparency and collaboration.
- Supervises junior engineers while providing proactive updates to the leadership team.
- Context switch while still delivering on commitments (multitasking)
- Make suggestions for process, implementation, and performance improvements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Ability to learn and maintain legacy code using .Net, PHP
- Ability to maintain legacy MS SQL server DBs
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript
- Experience building and consuming REST / SOAP APIs
- Experience with front end technologies such as React and Angular
- Experience with Git, GitHub and building CI / CD pipelines using GitHub actions or Azure DevOps
- Experience building applications in Azure using Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure Logic Apps and / or Azure SQL
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience mentoring, coaching and guiding junior developers
- Experience with Snowflake, Azure Data Factory and Databricks
- Experience with Machine Learning (either using Azure ML or Python libraries)
- Experience with Data Analytics (Tableau / PowerBI)
- Experience with Salesforce and MuleSoft
- Experience with NOSQL (CosmosDB)
- Experience with Test Automation (selenium)
- Experience with performance testing and tuning / load testing (jmeter)
- Experience setting up and configuring API Gateway
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related fie
- Additional related education and/or experience
