About the Unit

Join our all-women team on a 32-bed Gynecology unit that cares for a diverse patient population in a supportive and compassionate environment. Our unit specializes in the care of patients undergoing gynecologic surgery, as well as those requiring medical management and postpartum readmission.

This Assistant Nurse Manager position offers a flexible schedule, with start times at 7:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. and a mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts, primarily supporting night shift operations.

Scope of work

Under the direction of the nurse manager or other nursing leader, the assistant nurse manager has responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in the department.


 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) Required.
  • Two+ years of clinical experience Required.
  • Participation in leadership activities (Unit, hospital or system Shared Governance meetings, Precepting, Charge nurse role) Preferred.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
