Exercise Phys - PRN

Hourly Pay Range:

$26.61 - $39.92 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

·         Position:  Exercise Physiologist – Cardiac Rehab

·         Location: Elmhurst IL  

·         Hours: 6 am- 7 pm

·         Schedule: As needed - PRN

·         No weekends or holidays

What you will need:

·         1+ year of cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation experience highly preferred ECG (EKG) interpretation skills

·         Exercise prescription and patient monitoring experience

·         Bachelor of Science degree in an exercise science or a related field (e.g. Kinesiology or Physical Education).   Emphasis in exercise physiology preferred.  MS preferred

·         Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross

·         ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (within 6 months of hire)

What you will do:

·         Develop and implement individualized exercise programs for cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients

·         Monitor patients during exercise sessions, including vital signs and ECG (EKG)

·         Modify exercise plans based on patient response and progress

·         Lead group exercise sessions, including warm-up and cool-down

·         Provide patient education on exercise, risk factors, and lifestyle changes

·         Maintain accurate documentation and patient records

·         Support safe, effective progression toward independent, home-based exercise routines
