Laboratory Technician
Job Description
Join our West Wyalong team as a Laboratory Technician, where you’ll help prepare and analyse samples accurately, safely and on time. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced laboratory environment, takes pride in quality work and values teamwork and safety.
Responsibilities include, however not limited to:
- Understanding of the processes in the preparation and analysis of samples by AAS and ICP.
- Day to day upkeep of analytical and sample preparation equipment.
- Delivery of quality samples to both internal and external customers.
- Understanding of assay methods and recognition of sample types.
- All functions to be performed in correct numerical order, while adopting QC requirements and avoiding potential contamination.
- Expected to completed QC and process paperwork adequately.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous laboratory experience preferred
- Current First Aid Certificate desirable
- Current drivers licence
- Physically fit due to required tasks.
- Meet site access requirements (ie: training, induction and medical requirements)
