Logistics Coordinator - Nashville, TN
Starting Pay: $19.00 per Hour

Road & Rail Services is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a full-time, onsite position supporting daily logistics operations in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you'll help coordinate shipments, maintain accurate documentation, communicate with drivers and carriers, and support the overall flow of operations. While this is primarily an office-based position, your work plays a critical role in keeping shipments moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

What You'll Do

As a Logistics Coordinator, you'll be responsible for supporting daily transportation and logistics activities. Typical duties include:

Coordinating inbound and outbound truck schedules with carriers and operations personnel
Preparing and maintaining shipping documents, bills of lading, and inventory records
Communicating with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely movement of shipments
Monitoring shipment activity and updating logistics records in company systems
Assisting with reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance documentation
Troubleshooting scheduling and paperwork issues as they arise

No two days are exactly alike, so we're looking for someone who can stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively in a busy environment.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while supporting a team-focused operation. Previous experience in logistics, transportation, dispatching, shipping and receiving, or administrative support is preferred but not required.

Qualifications include:

High school diploma or GED required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Experience with logistics software, transportation documentation, or inventory systems is a plus

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Nashville operation. Employees regularly interact with drivers, customers, and operations personnel throughout the day while managing shipment schedules, documentation, and reporting requirements. Standard business hours apply, with occasional flexibility needed to support operational demands.
