A varied, creative and interesting role, the Partner Marketing Manager will work on a number of different areas supporting the Marketing and Brand function at WebBeds.
The Partner Marketing Manager reports directly into the Marketing Director, Europe and is required to develop working relationships with Contracting and hotel suppliers. The Partner Marketing Manager also works closely with Director of Chains – Europe, Vice-President – Global Chains, and senior Contracting colleagues in Europe and Americas to support their needs and to grow the reputation of WebBeds as a trusted and valued partner. In addition, other areas the role will work closely with are; marketing teams in all regional markets and other internal departments – notably Sales, Finance, Content, Human Resources and the wider Commercial organisation.
As well as having a creative edge, an attention to detail, and an understanding of and appreciation for the importance working within defined brand guidelines, the role requires keen business acumen, commercial understanding and the ability to analyse data and use this to suggest future improvements.
The main functions of the Marketing department are to develop, manage and grow the WebBeds brand, increase awareness of WebBeds to relevant audiences, protect the brand’s integrity - internally and externally - and to support the Contracting and Sales divisions to enhance and communicate the value WebBeds provides to client and supplier partners in the region.
In this role you will:
Key responsibilities
• Partner Marketing: Work with the Contracting department - and hotels directly, as appropriate - in driving participation in the WebBeds enhanced marketing programme for hotels. Drive and create revenue opportunities with partners (hotels, tourist boards etc) in Europe and Americas to monetise WebBeds channels to these third parties. Develop and execute key partner (e.g. chains) marketing plans and content calendar, delivering multi-channel activity to drive awareness
• Design & Content Creation: To assist in production of various high quality creative assets to support the global Marketing & Brand function including; videos, image selection, posters, flyers, ads, banners, presentations, brand collateral & merchandise and more. Where required, design effective processes internally and with external third parties for the creation, production and fulfilment of collateral
• Negotiation: Develop, negotiate and customise bespoke marketing and commercial proposals to maximise revenue for WebBeds and ensure internal processes with Finance Dept are streamlined to ensure partner payments are secured. Ensure a record is kept of approved partner agreements and commitments from internal and external stakeholders
• Build Trusted Relationships: Establish and cultivate trusted internal and external relationships with Contracting and hotels directly to encourage long term partner retention
• Reporting & Analysis: Use the various tools used within marketing (including BI, D365, website analytics, partner feedback etc) in order to report on programme metrics and/or marketing campaign success, opportunities, threats, trends and patterns in order to make suggestions for future improvements
• Email Marketing: To be an expert user and administrator for the adoption and ongoing use of the Mailchimp and D365 email platform ensuring we use the tool to its fullest potential set against our business requirements
• Miscellaneous: To assist with a number of smaller roles and responsibilities to help support the smooth day-to-day running of the department. These can include email marketing, incentives, internal communications and tradeshow exhibitions
• Project Management: As required (in partnership with the Director of Marketing), work on various projects such as global marketing campaigns, brand implementation and adoption; marketing technology/platform/application implementation, adoption and ongoing management; improving email marketing performance (click-rates, unsubscribes etc), improving efficiency with regards to sourcing high quality translations.
• Training: As required, provide ongoing training to our regional marketing teams on marketing applications and technology adopted by the business. This could include web applications using D365 email marketing, WordPress, Unbounce and others. Preparing training and reference materials and support marketing team member induction locally where relevant.
