Girls Junior Varsity Soccer Coach (Fall sport)

Position Summary:
Danbury High School is seeking a motivated and dedicated Girls Junior Varsity Soccer Coach for the fall season. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of student-athletes both athletically and academically, while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive school culture.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices and implement game strategies
• Teach fundamental soccer skills and promote player development
• Support and align with the Varsity program philosophy
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team events
• Promote good sportsmanship, leadership, and academic accountability
• Maintain communication with players, families, and athletic department staff
• Ensure compliance with all district, conference, and CIAC regulations
• Assist with equipment management and program organization

Qualifications:

• Must possess CT teaching certification with Coaching Permit preferred, or Coaching Certification
• Must possess valid First Aid and CPR certifications
• Must complete Module 15 � Concussion Management
• Knowledge of and/or experience in soccer preferred
• Previous coaching experience at the high school or youth level preferred
• Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, staff, and families

Working Conditions:

• Fall athletic season commitment
• Approximately 180 hours
• Compensation: $20.82 per hour
